What is the wisdom behind Muslims not advancing in science, medicine, and the invention of modern devices, such as computers, telephones, means of transportation, and electricity, given that all of the aforementioned are inventions and discoveries of non-Muslims?

Muslims have presented numerous inventions in various fields. A Muslim believes that divine knowledge is the most important, and that disbelievers are losers due to their ignorance of monotheism, and what little they attain in this world does not bring true happiness. Sustenance is from God's decree, and its abundance or scarcity is not a measure of success. Piety towards God is a cause for abundant sustenance, while disobedience restricts it. The availability of material means for disbelievers is a gradual enticement from God, and a brief enjoyment in this world before the torment of the Hereafter, as mentioned in the verses and prophetic traditions.
