The answer

We do not know of anything specific regarding this matter. However, it is permissible for a Muslim to recite as much of the Qur’an as they wish and to ask Allah through it for whatever needs they desire, based on the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “Recite the Qur’an and ask Allah through it before there come people who recite the Qur’an and ask people through it.” And his saying: “Whoever recites the Qur’an, let him ask Allah through it, for there will come people who recite the Qur’an and ask people through it.” The meaning of “let him ask Allah through it” is: let him seek from Allah, the Most High, through the Qur’an whatever he wishes concerning matters of this world and the Hereafter. Seeking tranquility falls under this, for tranquility is achieved through the remembrance of Allah, and the Qur’an is the best form of remembrance.
