How can I get rid of the obsession with showing off that seizes me when I speak about my commitment to the Quran or when I inform others of my religious achievements?

Continue memorizing the Qur’an, strive to attend the memorization circles regularly, combat hypocrisy (riya'), turn away from it, and do not succumb to it. Beware of abandoning good deeds for fear of hypocrisy; rather, strive to achieve sincerity and repel every whisper that assails you in this regard.
