Why do parents reject the marriage of a 33-year-old woman to a married man 12 years her senior who has two children, despite her feeling that he is her destiny and that she will not marry anyone else?

Reduce this love, because he is still a stranger to you. You cannot marry him except with your father's consent, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid."
