Is it permissible to facilitate tayammum for my grandmother, who finds extreme difficulty in performing wudu, so that she can offer her prayers?

Prayer holds a great status in Islam; it is the second pillar after the Shahadatain (the two testimonies of faith). A severe warning has been issued against those who are negligent with it or neglect it. The grandmother-in-law must be alerted to the gravity of abandoning ablution (wudu') and prayer, and reminded that ablution is a condition for the validity of prayer for those who are able to use water; otherwise, she may perform tayammum (definition) (dry ablution). Whoever misses prayers is obligated to make them up, and if the number is unknown, then they must make up prayers until they are reasonably certain that their obligation has been fulfilled.
