It is not permissible to hang pictures of the deceased at their graves, fearing exaggeration and ill-belief concerning them, due to what this may lead to in terms of their veneration. It was mentioned to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about a church with images, whereupon he said: "Indeed, when there was a righteous man among them and he died, they would build a place of worship over his grave and make those images in it. Those are the most evil of creation in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
