What is the best day to give charity, and is it permissible to give it on Saturday, and is charity limited to food, or does it include cleaning supplies and tools?

The best day to give charity is Friday. Charity given on other days is also an act of worship for which one is rewarded. Charity is not limited to food; rather, it includes everything permissible that benefits the recipient, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every good deed is charity." Accordingly, if the aforementioned things are permissible and provide benefit to the recipient, they are considered charity. It is worth noting that the best charity is that which has the widest benefit and utility, and is given to those in greatest need and poverty.
