Is it permissible for a young man to marry a girl with whom he committed adultery after she has been divorced, knowing that they have both repented and he fears that she will be lost if he leaves her?

The questioners must sincerely repent, for they have committed great sins and transgressions. It is permissible for the questioner to marry the girl if they both repent and become righteous, provided that her guardian agrees and is present, or delegates someone to act on his behalf. If it is impossible to find a guardian for the girl, one of the Islamic centers or imams of mosques will take charge of her affairs. The illicit relationship between them must be severed until the legitimate marriage contract is concluded. The questioner should advise the girl and instill in her the fear of Allah, and connect her with righteous women.
