Is it permissible for a mosque to be in a quadrilateral or hexagonal shape?

There is no specific shape or number of sides designated for a mosque. The important thing is that it should be in the clear form of mosques, with a mihrab suitable for the rows, making them straight without curvature or discomfort. It is preferred for it to be square or rectangular to facilitate the straightening of rows. If the rows are angled from the mosque wall, the problem can be solved by placing lines or specific prayer rugs. Building a non-square mosque is disliked due to the difficulty in straightening the rows.
