Is wearing the niqab one of the conditions of Islamic dress for women?

The hijab is the general covering for a woman, the khimar is what she covers her head with, and the niqab is what she covers her face with. The lawful dress for a woman covers her head, face, and entire body. The niqab from which only the eyes are visible is permissible, but if more than that is shown, she must cover her entire face. Scholars have agreed on the obligation for a woman to cover her face from non-mahram men because it is a source of temptation and desire.
