What are the rulings on combining and shortening prayers for a traveler who intends to stay for two to four days, at a distance exceeding 81 km?

A traveler who intends to stay for four days or more ceases to be considered a traveler, and therefore, it is not permissible for him to combine or shorten prayers. However, if he is uncertain about the duration of his stay (whether two, four, or more days), he remains under the ruling of a traveler and may combine and shorten prayers until his travel status ceases.
