Is it permissible to give monetary charity instead of slaughtering the remaining part of a vowed animal sacrifice, after gaining financial ability but being unable to fulfill the entire vow at the time it became due?

The matter of vows is grave, and fulfilling them is a religious imperative. Allah the Almighty has praised the inhabitants of Paradise for fulfilling their vows.

If you are unable to fulfill it immediately, you must wait until the opportunity arises.

However, if it becomes clear to you that you will never be able to fulfill it, then you must offer an expiation for breaking an oath.

What is required of you now is to slaughter an animal with the specifications you vowed, and do not deduct from its value what you paid for the previous animal.
