Does the persistence of blood stains on clothes after being washed in a washing machine, following the end of menstruation, prevent prayer? How should a woman wash her head during ablution? And does the presence of blood in the nose after sniffing water during ablution invalidate the ablution?

The spot stained with menstrual blood is impure and must be washed with purifying water. If its color remains, it must be washed again until the color disappears, unless its removal is impossible, in which case it is pardoned. Some scholars have mandated the use of aids to remove the color of impurities, such as soap or heated water. The majority of jurists hold that removing the color of impurity is obligatory if it is easy, but if its removal is difficult, its persistence does not matter. As for the Hanafis, they have two opinions, and the more preferred one among them stipulates the removal of the color unless it becomes difficult. It is not obligatory, according to all jurists, to use soap or heated water to remove the color, unless the removal of the stain is only achievable by these means.

Wiping the head is obligatory during ablution (wudu'), and washing it is not legislated. The presence of blood in the nose after sniffing water does not invalidate ablution.
