Is it permissible for a Muslim not to delve deeply into matters of creed (Aqeedah) and to suffice with observing the pillars of Islam and faith, for fear of falling into tribulation (fitnah) and misguidance, given the dispersion of ideas regarding which of the sects (such as the Ash'aris, Maturidis, and Salafis) is upon the truth?

It has been previously explained what the Ash'aris and Maturidis differed in with the Pious Predecessors, and whether they are considered among Ahlus-Sunnah or not, what constitutes the salvific creed, some matters related to the Ash'aris and Maturidis, and the benefits of knowing the attributes of the Divine Essence. It is obligatory upon a Muslim to learn the creed in general terms, and they are not required to learn the theological disputes. It suffices them to learn the pillars of Islam and faith in general terms.
