Is purchasing a boat (yacht) for personal use considered extravagance for a person who possesses great wealth and donates two-thirds of his money for the sake of Allah?

Extravagance is exceeding the limit in consuming permissible things, and its definition varies according to a person's financial situation, whether rich or poor. What is considered extravagance for one person may not be so for another, as Allah Almighty says: "And Allah has favored some of you over others in provision," and "Let a man of prosperity spend from his prosperity." The rich are not required to spend like the poor, nor vice versa. Accordingly, a wealthy, capable person buying a fishing or pleasure boat is not considered extravagance for him, as long as it does not exceed what is customary for someone like him.
