What is the ruling on selling a wife's gold for the purpose of the husband's mother traveling to perform 'Umrah?

It is not permissible for a husband to sell his wife's gold, because it is her property and it is not lawful to take it except with her consent, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The property of a Muslim person is not lawful [to take] except with his willing consent." There is no difference whether its sale is for performing 'Umrah or for other purposes. The prohibition of it in 'Umrah is more emphasized because the reward is lost through unlawful wealth.
