Why are there so few narrations from Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq despite his long companionship with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

Perhaps the reason is the short period he lived after the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, his preoccupation with managing the Caliphate, and his constant companionship with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, throughout his life. Those who narrated many hadiths lived long after the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so students of knowledge and those seeking fatwas would gather around them.
