If the deceased left no one but those mentioned, then the mother receives one-sixth due to the presence of a lineal descendant and a group of siblings. The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant. The daughter receives one-half. The remaining inheritance goes to the full brother and two full sisters, with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females. The uterine brothers, uterine sisters, nephew (son of a brother), paternal uncle, and sons of the paternal uncle receive nothing, as they are excluded by the presence of the lineal descendant and the full brother. The inheritance is divided into ninety-six shares: the mother receives sixteen shares, the wife twelve shares, the daughter forty-eight shares, the full brother ten shares, and each full sister five shares. It is obligatory to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia courts for investigation before distribution.
