The main reasons for the proliferation of devils and their dominance over the people of a certain land are: people's fear of them and seeking refuge in them, weakness of faith and lack of reliance on Allah, not seeking refuge in Allah and turning to Him sincerely, not fortifying homes with the Quran and remembrance (), falling into sins and transgressions, and the presence of sorcerers and soothsayers. These criminals and their helpers are expelled by holding fast to Allah, trusting in Him, and relying on Him.
