Is it necessary to rub the body with the hand or is it sufficient to pour water over it when performing ghusl for a wet dream?

Rubbing is not obligatory in Wudu (ablution) and Ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) according to the majority of scholars; it suffices for water to reach all parts of the body. However, Malik and Al-Muzani differed, stipulating it as a condition for the validity of Ghusl and Wudu. The majority of scholars cited as proof the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "When you find water, let it touch your skin," and he did not command anything further. They also cited the narration from Umm Salamah regarding Ghusl, where he said: "It is enough for you to pour three handfuls of water over your head, then pour water over yourself, and you will become pure."
