Is it permissible to wear a headscarf in the form of a wig? And is it considered an adornment in itself or a garment of ostentation?

A woman is not permitted to wear the mentioned headscarf ( طرحة ) in front of non-mahram men because it is an adornment, and one of the conditions of hijab is that it should not be an adornment. However, there is no objection to wearing it in front of women and mahram relatives. Its wig-like appearance does not give it the ruling of a wig, and wigs are a matter of scholarly disagreement. Similarly, this headscarf is not considered a dress of fame ( لباس الشهرة ), and even if it were, a dress of fame is considered disliked (makruh tanzihi) by many jurists, not forbidden.
