Is a father entitled to physically and verbally abuse his daughter under the pretext of punishing her for past actions, and must she accept that without objection?

The father erred in both instances: first, by permitting his daughter to travel with a non-mahram under the pretext of academic excellence, and then by punishing her for a sin from which she had repented. Furthermore, this action does not necessitate the punishment (hadd) for adultery; rather, it is a path leading to it. Moreover, the lashing of an adulteress is for the Imam to carry out, not for individual people. What the father did does not justify disrespecting or dishonoring him. It is obligatory to repent for the dishonor and to be keen on honoring and being good to him.
