The verse, "Their sides forsake their beds," has been interpreted as referring to prayer between the two 'Ishas, as narrated from Anas. This does not negate that prayer in the last part of the night is superior, for "The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is a man's prayer in the middle of the night."
