What is the ruling on one who says that the people taking heed due to the death of an openly immoral person will be counted in his good deeds?

A person is rewarded after their death for the good they left behind that is emulated or from which people benefit, such as ongoing charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them. It is authentically narrated in Sahih Muslim: "When a person dies, all their deeds cease except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge from which benefit is derived, or a righteous child who prays for them." As for people taking admonition from the death of a wicked person, this is not due to the wicked person's action, nor do they receive any reward for it. Rather, they bear the burden of the wickedness for which they were emulated.
