What should I do to clear my conscience, as I work in the confectionery industry, and we receive raw materials with the name "Ahmad" written on them, which is one of the beautiful names of Allah? When emptied, the containers are thrown into the garbage, and there are non-Muslims and some Muslims who do not respond to the request to erase the name?
A Muslim must protect everything that glorifies Allah, such as the Qur’an, , the names of Allah, and the prophets, as this is part of glorifying the sacred ordinances of Allah.
You have done well by ordering the removal of the name of Allah to prevent its degradation. Do not despair in enjoining good, as it may lead to a positive response.
You can also contact the manufacturing companies to request a change in the writing on their products.
It is known that the name "Ahmad" and other names of prophets, when given to others, do not carry the same sanctity as the names of the prophets themselves. Nevertheless, it is disliked to degrade them.
