What should be done about seeing the name of Allah, or names like "Abdullah, Abdur-Rahman, Abduhu, Abdul-Aati, Abdul-Wahhab" written on discarded papers or seats, and what is the ruling on placing one's foot on the name "Al-Aati" written on a seat?

The name "Al-'Ati" (The Giver) is not among the Beautiful Names of Allah; rather, it is "Al-Mu'ti" (The Bestower). The Names of Allah, the Quranic verses, and the Prophetic hadiths must be glorified. It is not permissible to degrade them by placing a foot or a shoe on them. Whoever does this intentionally commits an act of disbelief. However, whoever does so ignorantly, unaware of the presence of the Noble Name, bears no sin. It is obligatory for anyone who becomes aware of one of Allah's Names written on a discarded newspaper to promptly pick it up and erase the Name. However, one is not required to search every discarded paper due to the hardship involved.
