The high price of the software does not justify violating the owner's rights to it. Whoever violates these rights must pay the owner what they missed out on, as estimated by experts. If the person is unable to deliver the rightful due to the owner, then they should donate it on their behalf. Buying the original software afterward is permissible. As for using free software programs, there is no objection to it. However, it is not permissible to use them on pirated software. Whoever does so must pay the owner's due.
