What is the authenticity of Abu Dawood's hadith from Abu Dharr, describing the sun as setting "in a spring of warm water"?

The hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, with number (4002), was not followed by any critique, making it of the grade of Hasan (good), which can be used as evidence. It is considered sound by him, and Al-Albani authenticated it with number (2403) in Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahiha (Series of Authentic Hadiths). The implication of the hadith does not contradict what astronomers have affirmed; rather, it clarifies what an observer sees of the horizon at sunset, as the sun falls into the ocean's water. This is a scene about which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, informed Abu Dharr, and it coincides with what Dhul-Qarnayn saw and what the Quran recounted.
