هل وردت أحاديث لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن البربر؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

None of the narrations reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that condemn the Berbers are authentic. These include the hadith: "Wickedness is seventy parts; one part is in jinn and humans, and sixty-nine parts are in the Berbers," and the hadith about the Berber man whom the Prophet ordered to stand away from him and said: "Indeed, faith does not go beyond their throats," and the hadith: "Whoever gives charity and finds none but a Berber, let him return it." These hadiths are very weak. Even if we assume that some of them are authentic, they should be interpreted as referring to their state before Islam, when they were disbelievers.
