Does the divorce of an emotional husband count if he divorates his wife in a fit of rage and then forgets about it when he calms down?
Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce. The decisive factor is the husband's awareness. If he uttered the divorce while conscious of what he was saying, the divorce takes place. The husband is the reference for determining his awareness and the number of divorces. If there were three divorces uttered consciously, and they were spaced out, and none of them occurred during the waiting period (), then the wife becomes irrevocably divorced (baynunah kubra) and is not lawful for him until she marries another husband, as stated by Allah Almighty: ﴿And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband.﴾ If the three divorces or two of them occurred in a single session or during the waiting period (iddah), then there is a difference of opinion on the matter.
As for a son's charity on behalf of his parents, there is no objection to a son giving voluntary charity and dedicating its reward to his parents or to one of them. This is a commendable act and a part of a son's dutifulness to his parents. The Hanbali jurists have explicitly stated the permissibility of dedicating the reward of a deed to a living person.
