Is it permissible to supplicate against one who has wronged me with evil, such as “O Allah, grant me victory over him who has wronged me, and let me see my vengeance upon him,” and is saying “Allah is sufficient for me, and how excellent a guardian He is; O Allah, reward me in my affliction and compensate me with something better than it” sufficient?

First: Allah has warned against injustice, and among its worst forms is a husband's injustice towards his wife and his failure to be just among his wives. This is considered among the major sins.

Second: Allah has permitted the wronged person to seek redress from their oppressor by supplicating against them, without exceeding the limits. Among the well-known supplications are: "O Allah, rectify for me my hearing and my sight, and make them my inheritors. Grant me victory over him who wronged me, and show me my vengeance against him," and "Make our vengeance upon him who wronged us, and grant us victory over him who showed us enmity."

Third: Forgiveness is better than supplication. Whoever forgives their right in this world will receive it in abundance in the Hereafter. It suffices them that Allah Himself will hold the oppressor accountable on the Day of Judgment.

In conclusion: It is not permissible for a husband to wrong his wife. The wronged person is permitted to supplicate against their oppressor without aggression, but forgiveness is better.
