What should one do who slandered a chaste woman and repented and sought forgiveness, yet still sees in his dreams those who bind him and beat him?

Slandering chaste women is among the gravest sins, and it is one of the seven destructive sins. Allah has threatened the slanderer with damnation in this world and the hereafter, and a tremendous torment. Repentance is obligatory, as well as seeking forgiveness from the slandered woman, apologizing to her family, and requesting that they do not supplicate against him. As for dreams, nothing is built upon them, but they may encourage sincerity in repentance and abstaining from [violating] the honor of Muslims.
