How can you issue a fatwa based on this false unbroken chain (mawsūl) hadith from Al-Zuhri, which mentions that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, intended to commit suicide after the revelation faltered, given that this fatwa contradicts the infallibility of the Prophet and raises doubts about his message?

Thank you for your zeal and for reaching out. We have already clarified the refutation of what was narrated from Az-Zuhri. The concern you raise is based on a narration whose refutation we have already explained. Furthermore, attributing bada' (alteration in knowledge or will) to Allah is impermissible. There is no change in what is written in the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz). However, what is found in the scrolls held by the angels may change, as Allah erases therein what He wills and establishes what He wills. Thus, erasure and alteration occur in the branches and sub-matters, such as the deeds of day and night, but the Preserved Tablet knows no alteration or change. The Preserved Tablet has no erasure; what is written therein will come to pass, and there is no change in it. In contrast, what is written in the angels' scrolls is subject to Allah's erasing what He wills and establishing what He wills. Erasure and establishment pertain to what is in the knowledge of the angels. As for what is in the Mother of the Book (Umm Al-Kitab), that is what is in the knowledge of Allah Almighty, and there is absolutely no erasure in it.
