What must the spouses do to protect their child from Satan if they did not recite the prescribed supplication before intercourse?

If someone misses the virtue of the remembrance (dhikr) prescribed before approaching one's spouse, which is meant to protect the child from Satan, it does not necessarily mean that Satan will harm them. This can be remedied by several things, including: striving in obedience to Allah and fearing Him (taqwa), supplication (du'a), the 'aqiqah (sacrificial offering for a newborn), ruqyah shar'iyyah (Islamic exorcism/healing), and preventing children from going out at the time when devils spread.
