Is a cat considered pure after giving birth and getting its body stained with blood, then cleaning itself, and does stroking it purify the body and its kittens, or is it necessary to wash them with water?

The correct view is that impurity is removed by any cleansing agent, not solely by water. The blood of a cat after giving birth is impure. If all this blood is removed and no trace of it remains on her body due to her cleaning herself with her saliva, then she has become pure. Cat saliva is pure, based on the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) saying: “It is not impure; it is among those who frequent your homes.” If the blood is removed from the cat and her kittens by their cleaning themselves, there is no need to wash them with water.
