Does the involuntary emission of a white fluid invalidate the state of ihram, and what is the ruling on performing ablution from it during Umrah, given the difficulty of doing so in the Haram?
The moisture discharged from a woman’s vagina (vaginal discharge) nullifies ablution (Wudu') but is ritually pure (Tahir). If its discharge is continuous, then the woman experiencing it is considered to have a chronic discharge (sahibat al-salas), and she should perform Wudu' for each prayer after its time has begun. With that Wudu', she can perform the obligatory (fard) prayers and supererogatory (nafl) prayers. Purity (taharah) is not a prerequisite for any of the rituals of 'Umrah except for the circumambulation (Tawaf), according to the majority of scholars. If the time for the prayer for which the ritually pure woman performed Wudu' expires, her Wudu' becomes invalid, according to many scholars. The Hanafis hold that the Wudu' for one with a chronic discharge is for each obligatory prayer, not for each obligatory and supererogatory prayer, and they can pray as many supererogatory and obligatory prayers as they wish with that Wudu', and it becomes invalid when the prayer time expires. The Malikis hold that Wudu' for one with a chronic discharge is recommended (mustahabb) but not obligatory, and that her purity is not invalidated by a continuous discharge. Adopting this madhhab offers ease in situations of hardship, but it is better to avoid scholarly disagreement by repeating Wudu' for Tawaf if the prayer time has expired.
