The forbidden act is the seclusion of a woman with a non- man to fix something that needs fixing. If she is alone in the house, she can call the person and then leave the house until his work is done, after which she can return, or she can remain in a separate place where she does not meet him. It is also permissible for her to invite one of her neighbors to be with her in the house.
