Is the supplication: "And grant us wrongdoers to the righteous" from the Prophetic supplications, and if not, is it permissible?

The aforementioned supplication has not been reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. However, it is permissible to supplicate with it due to the general saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Let each of you choose whatever supplication is most pleasing to him, and then supplicate to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
