What is the ruling on one who abandons dawah to dedicate himself to seeking knowledge, fearing an initial inability to combine the two, with the desire to turn to dawah after acquiring knowledge?

Calling to Allah is a high rank and a great station, the station of the Messengers. It is impossible to call (to Allah) without knowledge. Whoever calls to Allah without knowledge is attributing to Allah what he does not know. Thus, knowledge is the first step in calling (to Allah). It is possible to combine knowledge and calling at the beginning of the path and at its end. If combining them becomes difficult, then one should start with knowledge, as it is the foundation upon which calling is based. People today are in need, rather in dire need, of seeking firmly established knowledge that takes root in souls, built upon legitimate Islamic principles. The advice to Muslim youth is to dedicate their efforts to seeking knowledge while engaging in calling to Allah to the best of their ability, and in a way that does not hinder them from seeking knowledge, because seeking knowledge is a form of striving in the way of Allah the Almighty.
