Is it permissible to distribute the usurious money in a bank account to poor Muslims with the intention of getting rid of it, given that the questioner lives in a non-Muslim country where there is no Islamic bank, and that he previously disposed of this money by distributing it to poor non-Muslims?

It is not permissible to deposit money in a usurious bank except in cases of extreme necessity, such as the unavailability of an Islamic bank. In such cases, the money must be placed in a current account. As for the interest generated from that money, it must be disposed of by spending it on the welfare of Muslims or giving it to the poor and needy. It is permissible and good for them, and it is not permissible to leave it for usurious banks, as that would be assisting them in their falsehood.
