Am I obligated to wear the hijab despite the opposition of my family, who see me as young, or should I wait for their approval, which is delayed every year?

If a girl reaches the age of legal responsibility (through menstruation, wet dreams, the growth of coarse pubic hair, or reaching the age of fifteen), wearing the hijab becomes obligatory for her, even if her family does not permit it. This is because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. Allah Almighty says: "And let them cast their headcovers over their bosoms." However, if the girl has not reached puberty, the hijab is not legally obligatory for her.
