The scholars have mentioned that whoever speaks words that could indicate apostasy or something else does not become an infidel by that, especially if he is afflicted with whispers. If there are ninety-nine interpretations that point to the excommunication of a Muslim and one interpretation that keeps him in Islam, then that one interpretation should be acted upon.
