The answer

The rights of parents are the most emphasized rights after the right of Allah Almighty. This includes righteousness, obedience, respect, honor, and financial support when needed, as well as their care. This is because they are the reason for the child's existence, and due to Allah's saying: "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents, show good treatment" (Quran 4:36), and His saying: "And your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship except Him, and to parents, show good treatment" (Quran 17:23). The mother's right is further emphasized due to what she endured of pregnancy, childbirth, and upbringing, and due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father." Disobeying parents is one of the gravest sins, second only to associating partners with Allah. Abandoning and boycotting the mother is among the most severe forms of disobedience, forbidden by Islamic law. Furthermore, boycotting sisters is not permissible, as it is authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights, where they meet and each turns away from the other. The best of them is the one who initiates the greeting." Rather, maintaining kinship ties is obligatory. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah created creation. Until, when He finished from them, the womb stood up and said: 'This is the station of one seeking refuge from severance.' He said: 'Yes. Are you not pleased that I should connect with whoever connects with you and cut off whoever cuts you off?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then that is for you.'" Therefore, it is not permissible for a girl to boycott her mother or her sisters, and she must repent and take the initiative to reconnect and communicate.
