Among the proofs for this are His sayings, may He be exalted: "Allah will suffice you against them" (Quran 2:137) and "Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant?" (Quran 39:36). From the Sunnah, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say upon going to sleep: "All praise is due to Allah who fed us, gave us drink, sufficed us, and sheltered us." The name "Al-Kāfi" (The Sufficient) is mentioned among the beautiful names of Allah by Ibn Majah, and it was mentioned by Ibn al-Arabi and Ibn Hajar as one of Allah's names.
