The answer

For the Friday prayer, there are two Adhans: the first to announce the entry of the time, and the second just before the Khateeb (preacher) begins his sermon. It is for anyone who hears either the first or the second to repeat what the Muezzin says and to recite the well-known supplication after the Adhan. This is based on the general statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "When you hear the Muezzin, say as he says, then invoke blessings upon me, for whoever invokes blessings upon me once, Allah will invoke blessings upon him ten times. Then ask Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah, for it is a station in Paradise that will only be granted to one of Allah's servants, and I hope that I am that one. Whoever asks for Al-Wasilah for me will be granted intercession." Repeating the Adhan is a sunnah according to the majority of scholars.
