Is a woman blameworthy for delaying prayer until she finishes household chores or bathes with the intention of praying while she is clean? And is she rewarded for her household work and for preparing the suhoor and iftar for her family?

Each prayer has a specific time prescribed by Islamic law. If a woman performs the prayer within its designated time, there is no harm in that. However, if she delays the prayer past its time on the pretext of being busy with household chores, this is not permissible, because prayer must be performed at its specified time. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a book [to be recited] at fixed times." (Quran 4:103). Deliberately delaying prayer past its time is one of the major sins, and household chores or clothes becoming dirty are not considered an excuse for delaying prayer. A woman will be rewarded for taking care of her family's affairs if she intends it for the sake of Allah.
