What are the most rewarding forms of charity, and is feeding the poor and needy the best of them, or is there something with a greater reward? Is it better to feed the poor in one's own country or in remote, needier countries?

Feeding people is one of the sublime acts of worship and virtuous deeds that lead to Paradise and distance one from Hellfire. Many prophetic hadiths have been narrated about its merits, including that it is a means of entering Paradise in peace, attaining its chambers, and entering it simply by concluding with feeding a poor person. It is also considered the best deed after belief in Allah, jihad, and an accepted Hajj. The preference between types of charity depends on their benefit and the intensity of the need for them, and feeding people in poor countries carries a greater reward and is more virtuous.
