Is it permissible for a veiled woman to search for a suitable life partner, and does that contradict the teachings of Islam?

A Muslim woman must adhere to the legal hijab (definition) because it is an act of obedience to Allah and a means to His success, and displaying one's adornments (tabarruj) is a grave sin. Marriage may become obligatory if one fears temptation, and it is the tradition of the prophets. A woman should not seek a husband by exposing herself to men, as this contradicts modesty; rather, she should pray to Allah to grant her a righteous husband, or ask her trusted sisters to guide someone looking for a wife to her. Whoever advises removing the hijab is mistaken, and adhering to it is a sign of faith and piety.
