Is it permissible to sell tickets after purchasing them at a higher price to make a profit, especially in sports events and concerts, and is this profit considered unlawful?

The ruling on selling tickets for venues and profiting from them depends on the ruling on attending those venues. If attendance is permissible, then selling and profiting are permissible. However, if attendance is not permissible due to the presence of forbidden acts, then it is not permissible to attend, nor to buy or sell tickets for them. This applies to most matches and concerts that contain forbidden acts such as the exposure of awrah (private parts), mixing of genders, music, and singing. Therefore, a Muslim must be keen on earning lawful money because "every body nourished by unlawful gain, the Fire is more befitting for it."
