Does failing to pray the Fajr prayer on time prevent one from leading the remaining prayers of that day?
Whoever intentionally misses a prayer until its time has expired has committed a great sin and is not fit to be an Imam unless he repents. As for one who missed a prayer due to an excuse, such as sleep or forgetfulness, there is no sin upon him, and he should pray it whenever his excuse is removed. He may lead the prayer as an Imam if he is qualified for Imamate.
